About Me

My "Cartoon" Me
Hi, and a big welcome from Oregon.  I’m Debbie … I’m a daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, niece, friend and a believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I love calling Oregon my home and have lived here my entire life.  I grew up in a sleepy little town called Sodaville.  It’s a real city and is located about 45 miles south of Salem, our state capitol.  I now reside in Albany, Oregon.

My blog is rather random … collecting, decorating, dieting, cooking/recipes, books, travel … LIFE!  I guess it's because I enjoy, and am curious about, so many things!  I hope you’ll join me on my journey as I explore some of them.

Various “about me” trivia (in no particular order):  I enjoy the simple things in life and prefer that life be as uncomplicated and drama free as possible.  I love my house, and all the processes involved in making it my home.  I enjoy antiques, antique stores, vintage "junk" and flea markets.  I love pansies, blue hydrangeas, old wooden bobbins, Flow Blue China pieces,  Italian food, the ocean, Seinfeld reruns and most anything on HGTV and The Food Network.  I LOVE LAUGHING.  I’d rather drive than fly.  I’d rather take a long-weekend than a long vacation.  I prefer showers over baths.  I love my Schilling tin collection, vintage advertising pieces, ice cream, old photos, old letters, vintage cookbooks, the zoo and picnics.  I hate exercise!  I love reading, Chinese food, movies, old buttons and my Dyson vacuum cleaner.  I love BLUE … anything and everything BLUE!  I hate weeds!  I love fall ... and everything to do with fall. I love the smell of pumpkin muffins baking in the oven.  I love long drives, white cake with strawberries, Fried Ice Cream scented Scentsy bars, Mary’s Moo Moo figurines, old Christmas ornaments, and vintage postcards.  I hate dust and clutter.  I enjoy organizing.  I love spending time with my nephews and nieces.   I like music, crisp apples, shopping and my crock pot.  I love the coziness of a rainy day, a warm house, a good book ... who could ask for more?

And the most precious thing to me … I love knowing where I will spend eternity.  My prayer is that you do too.
